At Acadiana Addiction Center, we recognize the insidious nature of addiction and we know how damaging it can be to all aspects of a person’s life, which is why we applaud those who make the brave choice to battle that demon.
We are also fully aware of how intimidating the prospect of getting treatment can seem. For this reason, we do everything in our power to make the admissions process one that is as comfortable and as encouraging as possible. From the second you walk through our doors or call our intake department, we make it our mission to ensure you that you feel nothing but supported as you make this most important, life-changing decision.
Our intake department at Acadiana Addiction Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We know that your time of need can arise at any time, which is why we make sure we are available day or night.
When you call our intake department, our knowledgeable staff members will listen to your concerns with compassion and will provide immediate support and encouragement. They will be able to answer any questions you may have, while also assisting you in understanding the various aspects of the programming that we offer. They will also be able to schedule a time for you to come in to our treatment center so that you can receive an in-depth evaluation in order to determine the most appropriate level of care that will best meet your needs.
Over the past few years, Acadiana Addiction Center has improved its property, inside and out, and its programs. The staff has grown and a core group of individuals choose to remain with us because of our family-like work environment. The patient is a part of the “family” and the care of our patients is paramount.
What to Expect When You Call
In order to provide you with immediate assistance, the staff members in our intake department will ask you a few basic questions in order to begin to gain an understanding of where your needs lie. Examples of information that you may be asked to provide can include the following:
- Demographic information
- Presenting concerns
- Substance abuse history
- Past treatment history, if applicable
- Insurance information
If you are calling on behalf of a loved one who is in need of treatment, please be prepared to provide similar information.
The program begins with a free assessment and offers 24-hour support structure for those seeking to recover from the insidious disease of addiction.
Once you have arrived at Acadiana Addiction Center, you will be guided through a free and confidential assessment so that our staff members can fully understand why you are seeking treatment.
By participating in this evaluation, you will be assisting our staff in learning what your needs are, what concerns you want to have addressed, what your willingness for engaging in treatment is, and the depth of your substance abuse history. You will also be assisting us in helping us to identify whether or not you are suffering from any co-occurring mental health concerns.
This assessment will help us to determine which aspect of our programming will be most beneficial in helping you to achieve your treatment goals.
Once the assessment is complete, the staff members with whom you are working will consult with our treatment team in order to decide what specific level of care is most appropriate for meeting your needs and helping you reach your treatment objectives. Our staff will review the recommendation with you so that you can have all of the information necessary for making an informed decision.
If you choose to accept our recommendation for care, your admission into programming will begin as soon as possible.
If you are plagued by the compulsion to abuse drugs and/or alcohol, and wish to receive guidance, support, and care in order to help put an end to your addiction, please consider reaching out to Acadiana Addiction Center today. Your inquiries will be completely confidential and do not require any commitment on your end. Our staff just wants to help you take the first step that will be of most benefit to you.
Similarly, if you have a friend, family member, or other loved one who is fighting a substance abuse problem, please do not hesitate to reach out to our intake department. We know that you cannot force your loved one into receiving care, but we want to do everything we can to help you determine whether or not we can be of assistance to your loved one in his or her time of need. Furthermore, we are willing to provide you with suggestions for how you can encourage your loved one to receive treatment if he or she has been resistant to the idea thus far.
Whatever your needs may be, and whatever questions you may have, we hope that you will reach out to us at your earliest convenience. At Acadiana Addiction Center, it is our mission to provide top-of-the-line, clinically excellent care in a compassionate environment that promotes true and lasting healing.
